How It Works

Before Your Appointment

  • Attend your consultation and patch test if recommended.
  • Avoid sun exposure and fake tan for at least 4 weeksbefore treatment.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hoursbefore your appointment.
  • Arrive with clean skin free from make-up and skincare products (for facial treatments).
  • Avoid waxing, aggressive exfoliation and active skincare products in the treatment area before your appointment.
  • Follow any personalised recommendations provided during your consultation.

Aftercare

Following your treatment:

  • Mild redness, warmth and slight swelling are normal and usually settle within a few hours.
  • Keep the treated skin well moisturised.
  • Avoid hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools and strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours.
  • Avoid exfoliating products and active skincare for approximately one week.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure and wear SPF 30–50 daily.
  • Do not pick, scratch or rub the treated area.

Contraindications

This treatment may not be suitable if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have an active skin infection or irritation
  • Have a recent tan or sunburn
  • Use photosensitising medications or skincare products
  • Have certain medical conditions discussed during your consultation
