How It Works
A thin layer of medical-grade carbon lotion is applied to the skin, where it penetrates the pores and binds to excess oil, impurities and dead skin cells.
The BIOTEC X-Lase Plus laser is then passed over the treatment area. The laser energy is attracted to the carbon particles, gently removing the carbon together with surface impurities while stimulating the skin’s natural renewal processes and collagen production.

Before Your Appointment

- Avoid sun exposure and fake tan for at least 4 weeksbefore treatment.

- Avoid alcohol for 24 hoursbefore your appointment.
- Arrive with clean skin free from make-up and skincare products.

Aftercare
Following your treatment:
- Mild redness is normal and usually settles within a few hours.
- Keep the skin well hydrated using a gentle moisturiser.
- Avoid exfoliating products, retinoids and active skincare ingredients for approximately one week.
- Avoid hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools and strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours.
- Avoid alcohol-based skincare products immediately after treatment.
- Wear SPF 30–50 dailyand avoid direct sun exposure for at least 4 weeks.
Contraindications
This treatment may not be suitable if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have an active skin infection, irritation or inflammation
- Have active herpes simplex in the treatment area
- Have a recent tan or sunburn
- Use photosensitising medications or skincare products
- Have certain medical conditions discussed during your consultation
- Have recently had injectable treatments or other aesthetic procedures in the treatment area (timing will be assessed during consultation)
